Purchasing Agent

Italian Ready Meals, LLC seeks a Purchasing Agent, to be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing tasks that pertain to the company’s procurement of goods from vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.

DUTIES:

• Identifying, interviewing, vetting, and recommending vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers of artisanal and commercial products and machinery in Italy and, where necessary, the European Union;

• Assessing the current availability of products and predicting future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables;
• Analyzing price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices for products;

• Negotiating various definite-quantity contracts, indefinite-quantity contracts, and requirements contracts with vendors, suppliers, and manufactures;
• Preparing bids for goods and reviewing proposals and cost estimates in accordance with the company’s budget and financial goals;
• Facilitating the drafting, the execution, and the implementation of contracts with vendors, suppliers, and manufactures;
• Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and manufactures to resolve issues that relate to delayed, defective, or otherwise non-conforming goods;

• Maintaining and reviewing records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories and making recommendations to the company based on the same; and

• Attending meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn about new trends in the industry and to make contacts with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
